If you want open ear earbuds for study with a massive battery life that lasts through long study sessions and deep focus, choose Global Teck Worldwide Poly Plantronics Voyager; if you need a professional-grade over-the-head stereo headset with superior all-day comfort for hybrid working and crystal clear calls kids headphones for study, choose PLT Poly Voyager Focus.
• Global Teck Worldwide Poly Plantronics Voyager: Offers an impressive 40-hour listening time (ANC off) and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity for a strong wireless range, but sits on the ear rather than around it. Best for students or remote workers who prioritize battery longevity and portability.
• PLT Poly Voyager Focus: Delivers true over-ear comfort with memory foam cushions and a lightweight design for extended wear, though its battery life is capped at 12 hours of talk time. Best for professionals who spend entire days on calls and need maximum isolation from background noise.
• The Verdict: Choose the Global Teck model if your priority is endurance and a compact form factor; choose the PLT model if your priority is premium comfort and immersive audio quality during long work shifts.
The Global Teck Worldwide Poly Plantronics Voyager Focus 2 UC stands out primarily as a tool for endurance. If you are a student staring down a six-hour study session or a freelancer juggling back-to-back meetings without access to a charger, this device is engineered to keep up. This level of battery performance means you can likely go several days between charges, making it ideal for those who treat their headphones as a constant companion rather than a temporary accessory.
Design-wise, this unit features an "On Ear" placement with faux leather and plastic construction. While this makes the headset lighter at just 175 grams, it also means the sound cups rest directly against your ears rather than enclosing them. For many, this translates to less heat buildup during long periods of use, which can be a significant advantage during intense study marathons where overheating becomes a distraction. The inclusion of acoustic fence technology ensures that while you are focused on your notes or lectures, callers hear only your voice, effectively filtering out the hum of a coffee shop or the chatter of a shared living space.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are someone who requires total auditory isolation—perhaps you live in a very noisy household or work in a bustling open-plan office—the "On Ear" design might not provide the physical seal necessary to block out every whisper. Additionally, while the Bluetooth 5.1 technology promises a robust connection, the 50-meter range is theoretically excellent, real-world performance can vary based on obstructions. This headset is perfect for the mobile learner who needs reliability and long battery life, but it may lack the plush, immersive feel of a fully enclosed over-ear system.
The PLT Poly Voyager Focus is built for the professional who treats their headset like an extension of their workspace. Its defining feature is the "Over Ear" circumoral design, which wraps completely around the listener. This design choice, paired with memory foam ear cushions and an adjustable padded headband, creates a setup specifically engineered for "all-day comfort." The manufacturer explicitly notes that this lightweight over-the-head stereo headset is designed to fit perfectly and stay comfortable even after hours of continuous use. If you find that other headsets cause pain or pressure points behind your ears after two hours, this model addresses that specific pain point with its cushioning and weight distribution.
In terms of audio and call clarity, the PLT Voyager Focus utilizes pro-grade triple-microphone technology combined with sophisticated active noise canceling. This isn't just about blocking noise for you; it is about ensuring that the person on the other end hears you clearly. The description emphasizes staying focused and undistracted with immersive stereo sound, which is crucial for those who need to distinguish subtle nuances in a lecture or a complex business discussion. The inclusion of a dedicated mute button and voice alerts adds a layer of intuitive control that helps manage calls without fumbling for settings on a computer screen.
The trade-off here lies in the battery life and connectivity generation. While the 12 hours of talk time is sufficient for a standard workday, it falls short of the Global Teck model's multi-day potential. You will likely need to charge this headset every night or even every other day if your schedule is packed. Furthermore, it relies on Bluetooth 4.0 for mobile connections, which is an older standard compared to the 5.1 found in the other model. However, for users whose primary concern is comfort and professional communication quality rather than raw battery endurance, the PLT Voyager Focus remains a top-tier contender. It is the choice for the dedicated worker who needs to shut out the world and focus entirely on the task at hand.

After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the PLT Poly Voyager Focus for my own daily workflow. While the battery life of the Global Teck model is tempting, the comfort of an over-ear headset with memory foam is non-negotiable for me when I am working or studying for long stretches. The physical isolation provided by the ear cups allows me to enter a state of deep focus that an on-ear design simply cannot match. If you are looking for crystal clear calls kids headphones for study, the PLT model's microphone array and noise cancellation give you a professional edge that keeps distractions at bay. Ultimately, for anyone prioritizing comfort and immersion over raw battery duration, the PLT Poly Voyager Focus is the superior choice.
