My name is Jannell Hembry, Founder and Executive Director of Global Mobility Children’s Foundation Inc. (GMCF).
Born with clubfoot, I received treatment and, by the grace of God, overcame many of the challenges associated with my condition. My journey shaped my life, strengthened my faith, and helped me discover a purpose greater than myself.
GMCF was created from a simple but powerful vision: no child should be denied the opportunity to walk, run, learn, and dream because of a treatable condition or a lack of access to care.
As an author, educator, global advocate, and Clubfoot Ambassador with Clubfoot Solutions, I use my personal story to raise awareness, encourage families, and advocate for children with clubfoot and other mobility disabilities.
Through my work and travels in Kenya, I witnessed children living with untreated clubfoot—not because treatment does not exist, but because access to care can be limited. These experiences strengthened my commitment to helping connect children and families with treatment resources, supporting fundraising and partnerships, and expanding awareness of mobility care.
Through GMCF, this mission comes to life in several ways:
Clubfoot Awareness & Advocacy: Promoting awareness of clubfoot, treatment and the importance of access to care.
Clubfoot Track Star: Mobility for All: Using my children’s book, literacy activities, educational outreach, and inclusive events to encourage confidence, disability awareness, and belonging.
Passport to Purpose Mission Academy: Preparing volunteers through an online mission-readiness program focused on cultural understanding, responsible service, and preparation for international outreach.
GMCF International Mission Experiences: Connecting volunteers with local partners in Kenya through community outreach, educational activities, mobility awareness, and purposeful service.
Kenya Healing House Vision: Working toward a future Clubfoot Center and Mobility Campus in Malava, Kenya, to expand access to treatment, education, family support, and community resources.
Rooted in faith, compassion, and partnership, GMCF works to advance mobility, opportunity, and dignity for children and families. My vision is to help build connections between communities, medical partners, educators, churches, and volunteers who share a commitment to making a meaningful difference.
This mission is deeply personal to me. I believe a child’s diagnosis does not define their future, and every child deserves the opportunity to discover their potential.
