Welcome to Global Health Durham's page for newsletters and articles. Here you can find our monthly newsletters, put together by our Exec members, as well as articles written by students on anything global health-related.
Who are we?
Global Health Durham is a student-run society at Durham University that focuses on spreading awareness on global health trends, challenges, and developments. From infectious diseases to planetary health, we believe it is important to study and research global health to improve and achieve equity in health for the whole population, and tackle global challenges like access to health, health infrastructure, financing, and laws, attitudes towards health, and more.
Why is this newsletter important?
This newsletter is an effort to increase engagement with and interest in global health trends by bringing you information in an accessible and simple manner. It also works towards helping students be more involved in the field by providing the opportunity to write about topics they are interested in and think should be talked about. We aim to talk about global health from different perspectives to show that individuals from all backgrounds, from biologists to historians, can have a part to play in global health.
