Model UN Conferences
2022-2026 | SASMUN, HMUN (2), KUMUNC, ILMUNC
↳ For all four years of my high school experience, I have been participating in our school's Model UN club as a delegate representing several different nations (Venezuela, Armenia, Slovenia, Greece) and individuals (Captain Davies) from throughout the world in various delegations (DISEC, CND, IMF, SPECPOL) and crisis committees (South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands). Throughout my time spent in this club, I have learned how to significantly improve my public speaking and presentation skills, actively engage with domestic and global affairs, and overall develop a deeper understanding of international diplomacy as a whole. In correspondence, I have similarly furthered my abilities regarding research of ongoing global conflicts and issues, negotiation with peers from different countries and with varying perspectives, and drafting resolutions aimed at resolving real-world problems addressed in our individual committees. In a collective sense, each of these interdisciplinary abilities that I have developed and improved upon during my time spent in this club will greatly benefit me in the future as I navigate my way through life, as they have provided me with a practical platform for learning about international relations, diplomacy, and global issues and further advanced my abilities to collaborate with diverse groups of individuals, which ultimately fosters a broader worldview and the cross-cultural competence essential in a globalized society.
Japanese Pen Pals
2023-2024 | Notre Dame Seishin Junior High and Girls' Senior High School
↳ In my sophomore year of high school, the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur partnered with one of its sister schools located in Kurashiki, Japan, which is the Notre Dame Seishin Junior High and Girls' Senior High School, to create an online pen pal exchange program between a small group of both of our schools' students. Over the course of the school year, we each communicated with our specific pen pal through email and discussed various aspects of our school and personal lives with one another to help the students from our sister school practice their reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
Singapore Pen Pals & Hosting Experience
2023-2024 | CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School
↳ Throughout my sophomore and junior years of high school, we participated in a virtual and in-person pen pal exchange program with our sister school in Singapore, which is the CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School, where we discussed various topics with one another regarding the differences in our cultures, schools, and countries through several online sessions and eventually hosted them in person for a day of school following the completion of the sessions. On the day that we hosted our sister school, we initially greeted our pen pals in the school library, exchanged personalized gifts with each other, and participated in an interactive presentation and various activities designed by our pen pals before we showed them around our school and guided them through our classes for the day.

Delaware County Junior Council Internship
September 2024-April 2026
↳ In the summer of 2024, the Delaware County Council announced a new Junior Council internship for eligible rising juniors and seniors in high schools across the county who were interested in participating in an interactive program where they can actively engage with public officials and community members, observe the policymaking process by attending bi-monthly Council meetings, and present research findings to the public on topics of their choice regarding the youth in the County. Around early to mid July of that summer, I decided to apply to the internship out of personal interest, and since it would be an excellent, direct experience
talk about interning at the medical examiner's office (office of the medical examiner) and park police departments as part of this internship (having the ability to experience other government departments that we are interested in and go through kind of a day in the life of that department)
