As one of our clients prepares for his day in court, we are busy making sure he has everything he needs. Our development coordinator has been hard at work finding him clothes that he can wear to appear in court. Something as simple as pants that fit can make a big difference in someone's ability to be confident and "presentable" in court. Studies have shown that folks who have resources to stand trial (like transportation, professional clothes, and community support) are less likely to be wrongfully convicted.

One of the ways we support our clients is through commissary support. On the inside, commissary is were incarcerated folks have to buy anything that they may need. From food items to extra blankets when it's cold, these costs can really add up. Making things more challenging, prices have continued to climb dramatically as the cost of goods has increased over the last year.
