OUTCOME STATEMENT:
Students will learn about the Sustainable Development Goal #4: Quality Education. They will analyze equity and how local activism within their school can create global change. Students will create custom order bubble glazed bowls, serving platters, and coffee mugs as a fundraiser to teachers, friends, family, businesses, and the greater community. These bowls/mugs will allow students who are graduating seniors going into either college or a technical institute to receive a scholarship to help cover minor expenses such as books. This lesson is important because it demonstrates that students can use their creativity for change. They also learn how to work for a client and host a fundraiser event. The event is a collaboration with the Student Council and Food class.
