The brief was simple. Take the Word document and Excel files and create a document that reflects the professional and cultural values of the institution that it represents.

I worked alongside the comms team to deliver a crafted document that took their brand to a new level of sophistication. Subtly capturing the Ngau pattern with a soft gradient fade gave brand consistency throughout the document, without it appearing repetitive and overused, or visually dominating the page.

I introduced more white space to give a cleaner look, and limited the border lines on tables to give a more spacious feel while making the text more readable.

We were able to convert text into icons and graphics to simplify the message and create a more visually appealing solution.

Once the files were signed off and sent to print, I got to work making the web accessible version compliant with current web standards guidelines.

The result was very well received by the new Board and began the process of rolling out the new brand style across all corporate material.

When designing work with a cultural aspect, it is essential to understand the meaning and heirarchy of symbols and patterns in order to respect the values these symbols convey. Whilst working on the Bilingual Road Siginage Intitative I engaged with local iwi and other key stakeholders to ensure appropriate placenames and terminolgy were used.

The purpose of an infographic is to present complex information or data in a visually engaging, clear, and concise manner, making it easier for the audience to understand and retain key insights at a glance. Working with the comms team, I establish the format for the graphic, the text that can be replaced by appropriate visual elements, and the style of imagery to be used.

At Clemengers I utilised my Photoshop skills to manipulate images. Combine images, colour grading, masking, cloning, distorting and replacing backgrounds to achieve the desired effect for clients like Mitsubishi Motors, Kiwirail and NZTA Waka Kotahi.

Kapiti Coast District Council long-term plan
This was a multi-channel campaign to reach as many people as possible in the Kapiti region in order to raise awareness of the council's intentions for the next 20 years. It was important that the public knew the challenges the council were facing and the efforts thary intended to make to secure future services and combat the coastal effects of climate change. As these measures would significantly impact ratepayers, it was essential that the public were consulted and engaged in the decision making proces.

The Flag Consideration Project was a very high profile national reach campaign that was exciting to be involved with, and controversial in it's scope. Due to the amount of attention this project received in the media, it was essential that all collateral was produced to the highest quality standards. The multi-channel campaign featured billboards, posters, flag banners, press ads, vehicle decals and digital assets for web use.

Aspeq are a company that provides a secure online examination and assessment platform. Many of their resources were poor quality image files and were considered to be no longer suitable for use. I took their existing resources and recreated them in vector format to ensure high quality image files were available to them for future use.
