We strive to provide our members and the community with a fun and exciting kendo experience.
Our dojo believes that continuation is the key to success in Kendo and life. We make sure everyone can continue to practice Kendo at their own pace without pressure.
Our dojo is a multi-lingual environment (English, Korean, Japanese) with practitioners worldwide. Due to Los Angeles being a popular tourist destination, we've had famous Kendo practitioners from Korea and Japan join our practice.
i. Respect (Rei). Respect for instructors, peers, the dojo, and the art of Kendo itself is paramount. This value emphasizes proper etiquette, bowing, and showing courtesy at all times.
ii. Discipline (Shitsuke). Discipline in training and behavior is essential. This includes punctuality, following instructions, maintaining focus, and showing dedication to improving oneself through rigorous practice.
iii. Perseverance (Nintai). Kendo training can be physically and mentally demanding. Perseverance involves enduring hardships, pushing through challenges, and consistently striving to improve, no matter the obstacles.
