When Elinor and I travel, I've emailed trip reports to friends and family. There's been challenges in doing this. First, it takes time. The busier I get, the less I write. The second challenge is keeping a growing email list up-to-date. I'm not sure of the best solution for this, and this might be trial-and-error to find a better way. The third is inconsistent email interface. While in Italy, I had daily problems with the Shaw webmail that I've never had at any other time. So, what am I going to do about this?
Not much I can do about the time it takes. I don't travel to get sleep, anyway. The second and third problem, I'm going to see if I can put things into a blog, and then just sent an email notice to people that its there. So if you've changed your email address and I didn't pay attention, then if you know I'm traveling and don't get a note, you can always check the blog site to see if something is there. Yes, I'm making it your problem.
For starters, I've put the Italy notes on the TravelBlog website. Link is here. It allows you to sign up to get email notices about changes. I think it also lets me notify people in the list.
