Glass Colored Widgets ("the App") is developed by MASH development and is designed to provide customizable home screen widgets for Android devices. This privacy policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.
Information We Collect
Location Data
The App requests access to your device's approximate and precise location. This is used solely to fetch weather data for your selected location through the OpenWeatherMap API. Location coordinates are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party other than the weather service provider.
Activity Recognition Data
The App uses your device's activity recognition sensors to count your daily steps. Step count data is processed on-device and stored locally. No fitness or activity data is sent to external servers.
Device & System Information
The App accesses the following device features to provide widget functionality:
- Bluetooth status (for headphone and earbuds status widgets)
- WiFi and mobile data status (for system toggle widgets)
- Battery level (for battery widgets)
- Screen time / app usage statistics (for the screen time widget, requires your explicit permission)
- Audio and vibration settings (for sound and vibration toggle widgets)
- Flashlight / torch (for the torch toggle widget)
All of this information is processed entirely on your device and is not collected, transmitted, or stored externally.
How We Use Information
- Weather data: Your location coordinates are sent to a third-party weather service (OpenWeatherMap) solely to retrieve current weather conditions for display in weather widgets. We do not store your location on any server.
- Widget preferences: All customization settings (backgrounds, fonts, opacity, blob visibility, etc.) are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
- Step count and screen time: All health and usage data is processed and stored entirely on-device.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No personal data is shared with any other third parties.
Data Storage & Security
All user data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that collect or store your personal information. Widget preferences, step counts, weather locations, and all other data remain on your device and are automatically removed when you uninstall the App.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can promptly delete such information.
Your Choices
- Location access: You can deny or revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. Weather widgets will not function without location access.
- Activity recognition: You can deny or revoke the physical activity permission at any time. Step counter widgets will not function without this permission.
- Screen time access: You can revoke usage access permission at any time through your device settings.
- Bluetooth access: You can deny Bluetooth permission. Headphone/earbuds widgets will not display status without it.
- Widget removal: Removing a widget from your home screen also deletes its stored preferences.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
