OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
Glamboozle started out in October 2014. The business started as Tina made hair accessories for our then 7 year old daughter, and started to make some extra. Our first selling event came on 24th October 2014 at Rivendell Garden Centre, Widnes.
It was a weekend event in a marquee next to the garden centre and that lead onto a busy few weeks befoe Christmas appearing at many school fairs and Christmas markets.
Our first regular market came at the St Helens Makers Market on a Saturday in St Mary's Market from November 2014. We held a stall here until late 2015.This lead onto becoming a regular outdoor market trader, working wth Sefton Community Markets. Firstly in June 2015 we held a stall at Bootle Strand Market.
This was our regular Friday market for over 6 years until expanding our indoor stall in Widnes in October 2021. We started with a 10 foot stall, but by the end had a 30 foot space. We also held stalls at Marian Square from 2016 to 2020 and Crosby Village on a Wednesday from 2017 to 2021.
Our next reguar market came on a Tuesday in St Helens for the then new Church Street outdoor market in June 2016. Later in the year it expanded and was also held on a Thursday and we were here for just over 5 years until October 2021. We had short spells at Great Homer Street market on a Saturday and Earlstown market on a Friday.
In 2018 we opened our indoor market space at Widnes Market. Our first official day was 16th February 2018. We took just one 3 by 3 metre space. We kept our outdoor stall spaces going in St Helens, Crosby and Bootle for 3 years after opening at Widnes.
It was an instant success and in October 2018 we expanded backwards and openened a second stall space. In June 2019 we made it 3 stalls and in October 2021 we opened a fourth stall, which then meant we needed to close the outdoor markets.
We opened a indoor stall at Warrington temporary market in March 2019, but decided against moving into the new market and left in July 2019 to focus on the expanding Widnes stall and the outdoor markets.
In January 2026 we left the market and bought our own shop on Widnes Road. This gave us more space and better opening hours.
We look forward to continuing to grow and providing excellent service for many years to come
