Giuseppe Trevisan is Associate Professor of Economics at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE, Brazil). He has served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Itaú Social Foundation. He co-leads the Pernambuco Education Research Lab (LPEPE) and is affiliated with the Group for the Economic Evaluation of Public Policies (GAPPE), Equidade.Info (supported by the Lemann Center at Stanford), and the Econometric Society. His research focuses on labor economics, education economics, development economics, policy evaluation, and empirical finance.
Giuseppe has collaborated with multiple Brazilian ministries, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Development, and the Ministry of Culture, to evaluate public policies and develop technical content for researchers. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Management Science, Journal of Labor Economics, Economics of Education Review, among others. In 2018, he received the CAPES Thesis Award for the best doctoral dissertation in Economics in Brazil.
