Giuseppe Pipoli

Currently I associate Professor in Geometry at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione e Matematica in L'Aquila (Italy).

Previously I was a Post Doc at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione e Matematica in L'Aquila (Italy) under the supervision of Barbara Nelli and at Institut Fourier in Grenoble (France) under the supervision of Gérard Besson.

In 2014 I defended my Ph.D thesis "Mean curvature flow of pinched submanifolds in positively curved symmetric spaces" directed by Carlo Sinestrari at the math department of Sapienza Università di Roma, Rome, Italy.

My interests are Geometrical Analysis and Riemannian Geometry. In particular, so far I studied geometric flows (like mean curvature flow or inverse mean curvature flow) Riemannian manifolds and the geometrty of ipersurfaces with prescribed curvature (like constant mean curvature hypersurfaces and translators). Please see the Publication page for more details on my works.
