I am a Full Professor of Econometrics in the Department of Economics, Business, and Statistics (SEAS) at the University of Palermo.
Born in 1977, I studied Statistics and Economics at the University of Palermo, earned an M.Sc. in Economics from CORIPE Piemonte (Moncalieri, Turin), and a Ph.D. in Econometrics and Empirical Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
In 2009, I married Giusi Addelfio, and we have two children: Daniele (born in 2011) and Valeria (born in 2014).
My research focuses on theoretical and applied micro-econometrics, especially statistical methods for missing data and model-averaging techniques. I have published around twenty scientific papers in leading journals, including the Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, Journal of Economic Surveys, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Computational Economics, and The Stata Journal.
I currently serve as Associate Editor of the Italian Economic Journal. Since 2004, I have also acted as a methodological expert for the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE).
