Giulia Tarullo
Welcome to my website!
I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Economics at IRES/LIDAM Catholic University of Louvain and Ghent University. I work under the supervision of Prof. Bart Cockx (UGent) and Prof. Muriel Dejemeppe (UCLouvain).
On the job market 2024-2025
My research interests are in the fields of labour economics, public economics, and micro-econometrics. My research focuses on the impact of policies: (i) reducing individual hours distortions in Short-Time Work programs, and (ii) fostering labour demand for vulnerable groups.
Within my PhD, I am evaluating the impact of design features in the STW program in Belgium [Program BRAIN-be 2.0 (2020-2025) funded by the Belgian Federal Administration Science Policy].
In Spring 2024, I visited the Economics Department at Sciences Po University, hosted by Prof. Pierre Cahuc.
Within my doctoral studies, I have been granted the UCLouvain FSR Scholarship.
