Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University (MAHGU) is established and incorporated by Government of Uttarakhand Act No. 33 of 2016. Vide Notification no. XXXVI (3)/2016/48(1)/2016) of Uttarakhand Shashan (Vidhayee & Sansdiya Karyavibhag) and under Section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University is situated in a peaceful and pollution free environment close to nature of Garhwal ranges of Shivalik hills. The Campus of University is surrounded by natural panoramic views which provides an ideal environment for higher education.

Jamia Hamdard traces its roots to a small Unani clinic established in 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed. He aimed to elevate Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline for more effective patient care. The venture was named "Hamdard," signifying "sympathy for all and sharing of pain." Hakeem Abdul Hameed, his son, continued this legacy, envisioning educational institutions highlighting Islam's contributions to Indian civilization and advancing Unani medicine.
Mizoram University, established by an Act of Parliament in 2000, commenced operations on July 2, 2001, in Aizawl, Mizoram. Spread across 978.1988 acres, it replaced the Mizoram campus of North-Eastern Hill University. Over the past 22 years, the university has seen significant growth in infrastructure, academic offerings, staff, and support services.
