PM2.5 Pollution Data
PM2.5 monthly average pollution data was provided by the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality from 28 different counties with a total of 53 monitoring sites for the year 2018.
Demographic Data
The data from the Texas Demographic Center was isolated for the year 2018, in which each county's total population was subcategorized based on ethnicity. These population datasets were then normalized to mirror the distribution of cancer statistics, which were reported as cases per 100,000.
Lung and Bronchus Cancer Data
Lung and bronchus cancer cases were reported per 100,000 to extrapolate the statistics of less populated areas.
