My name is Zhang Yan, and my main research focus is on social sensing and GeoAI. I completed my bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at Wuhan University, under the guidance of Professor Li Yingbing and Professor Chen Nengcheng. My research journey includes working as a visiting scholar at the Urban Analytics Lab of the National University of Singapore, collaborating with Dr. Filip Biljecki, and at the Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS at Peking University, working with Dr. Zhang Fan and Professor Liu Yu.
My research interests include: A (Method: GeoAI and social sensing) × B (urban science, disaster response, and inequality):
Micro-scale Urban Perception: Focusing on urban sensing devices and crowdsourced data for urban function and traffic modeling.
Disaster Emergency Management: Integrating NLP techniques with geo-tagged social media data for real-time, data-driven, and decision-making disaster response.
Social Isolation and Inequality: Understanding urban social systems based on spatial-temporal big data.
