I am an assistant professor at WIAS, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.
My research focuses on the integration of multiple datasets, including Earth observations from remote sensing, projections from climate models, and social big data, via spatial modeling and machine learning to address the urgent challenges posed by climate change.
My recent work is about integrating climate data with socioeconomic policies to provide quantitative insights for decision-makers. I'm also looking into the benefits and costs of mitigating climate change in my upcoming research, which can serve as effective evidence to support these actions. I am considering incorporating these empirical results into climate models and scenario management tools.
My research interests are broad but loosely focus on climate change-related topics.
It's not always easy to convince people why climate change truly matters and why we need to make changes to mitigate its effects. Instead of getting lost in technical debates, I expand my work to quantify the benefits and costs of addressing climate change—issues that people genuinely care about, such as health impacts and economic costs, while providing clear and practical steps for action.
