P lease read the following regarding conduct and class procedures.
Please refer to the list of supplies and donations. Thank you!
🤩 Behavior Elevator
Good behavior is essential for sustaining a productive learning environment. To keep parents informed, your child will maintain a daily behavior record in their homework packet. Scores will be determined by their "Good Behavior Elevator" points each day. Points range from 1 to 4 (see example). Please sign the record at the end of each week. The signed packet should be returned on Monday.
📂 Homework
Each student has a yellow homework folder that goes home and returns to school every day. Inside the folder is the weekly homework packet with the behavior report cover page. Please make sure your child brings the yellow folder and homework packet to school daily.
On Friday afternoon, please review and sign the behavior report. The homework packet and signed behavior report should be returned on Monday. A new homework packet will be sent home each Monday. Thank you for your support!
📚 Reading
It is crucial that your child reads at least 20 minutes each day. They can either read to you, with you, or on their own depending on their comfort level. I will provide you with your child’s AR reading level during fall and spring parent-teacher conferences. Use AR Book Finder to check book levels. Students may take AR quizzes in class as often as they would like.
🔔 Morning Bell
The morning bell is rung at 7:55 a.m. Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. in the cafeteria.
🎒 Dismissal
Pickup time is 1:50 p.m. Please make sure all adults picking up your child are listed on the emergency card. Changes can be made online through your AERIES parent portal.
If you would like to donate items to the class, disinfectant wipes, glue sticks, and tissue boxes are always welcomed. Please visit our Amazon Wish List as well. Of course, donations are never mandatory, but they are greatly appreciated!

🧥 Jackets to Class Every Day
Please send a jacket or sweater to school every day - even if it is hot 🥵 outside. Our classroom air conditioner is running, especially on hot days, and sometimes students can feel a little cold inside.
Students may leave their jackets or sweaters on their chairs inside the classroom overnight, however, please label their jackets with their names.
Stay updated with class events and programs.
