If you want a durable, multi-purpose surface for organizing loose items like keys and cards while driving, choose Girnfac Car Dashboard Cell; if you need a dedicated, single-hand-operated mount that rotates 360 degrees for hands-free navigation during car washing or daily commutes, choose Generic 360°.
• Girnfac Car Dashboard Cell: Its biggest strength is the dual-card slot design and anti-slip gel pad that holds phones, keys, and coins without sliding, but its trade-off is that it offers no rotation mechanism for viewing angles. This pick is for drivers who value interior organization and stability over adjustable viewing positions.
• Generic 360°: Its biggest strength is the automatic locking system and full 360-degree rotation for perfect visibility, but its trade-off is that it functions strictly as a phone holder with no storage capacity for other small items. This pick is for drivers who prioritize hands-free navigation and quick one-handed adjustments.
The Girnfac Car Dashboard Cell Phone Holder operates less like a traditional mount and more like a high-tech, non-slip organizer. Constructed from high-quality PVC material, this unit is designed to withstand the rigors of daily driving environments. The manufacturer specifies that the material possesses excellent toughness and resistance, meaning it won't easily deform, crack, or harden under extreme heat or cold. This durability is crucial because the product is intended to be washed and reused after drying, ensuring a long service life even in vehicles that see heavy use.
What truly sets this product apart is its multifunctional approach to dashboard space. While many mounts only secure a single device, the Girnfac features a dual card slot design capable of holding two phones simultaneously. This is a game-changer for households with multiple drivers or those who need to keep a secondary device handy for specific apps. Beyond phones, the raised texture on the surface enhances friction significantly, stabilizing smaller items like earphones, loose change, and keys. The inclusion of a dedicated slot for displaying a number plate adds a layer of utility that transforms the dash area into a fully functional command center rather than just a resting spot.
Installation is remarkably straightforward, requiring no tools whatsoever. You simply clean and dry your dashboard surface, lay the mat flat, and press it firmly. The adhesive properties are robust enough to prevent shifting during braking or on bumpy roads, yet gentle enough that removing the mat will not leave marks or damage the vehicle's interior finish. At approximately 7.93 by 4.33 inches, the size fits comfortably on dashboards across trucks, SUVs, and sedans. However, if your primary goal is to tilt your screen to avoid glare or to rotate your phone vertically for a GPS map, this flat mat solution lacks the mechanical articulation required for those tasks.

In contrast, the Generic 360° Rotating Car Phone Mount is engineered with a singular, focused purpose: securing your smartphone for optimal visibility and interaction. The core feature here is the flexible rotating design that allows for a full 360-degree adjustment. This capability ensures you can achieve the perfect angle for your eyes, whether you are looking at a GPS map, taking a hands-free call, or checking messages. The ability to adjust the device to any angle makes it an ideal solution for safer driving, as it eliminates the need to hold the phone or struggle with a fixed mount.
Security is another pillar of this product's design. It utilizes an upgraded automatic locking system that securely grips your smartphone. This means you can place your phone in with a simple push, and the mechanism engages immediately. The design supports one-hand operation, which is essential for drivers who need to mount or dismount their device quickly without fumbling. Even on bumpy roads, the stable structure prevents shaking or slipping, providing strong protection for your device during daily commuting or long-distance travel. The base itself is designed with a strong anti-slip component, often utilizing a reusable washable material to maintain strong adhesion over time.
This mount is compatible with most cars and various smartphone sizes, making it a versatile choice for modern drivers. The "One Size" designation suggests a universal fit for standard devices, though it does not offer the extra storage space found in the Girnfac alternative. If you are someone who constantly switches between portrait and landscape modes depending on the app you are using, or if you drive in areas where road conditions vary wildly, the mechanical stability and rotational freedom of this mount are superior. However, if you frequently lose track of your keys or need to stash a spare phone on the dash, this unit will not provide that organizational benefit.
• Best for Multi-Device Storage → Girnfac Car Dashboard Cell (holds two phones plus keys and coins).
• Best for Adjustability → Generic 360° (full 360-degree rotation for any viewing angle).
• Best for One-Handed Operation → Generic 360° (automatic locking and easy placement/removal).
• Best for Durability in Extreme Temps → Girnfac Car Dashboard Cell (PVC resists cracking and hardening).
• Best for Organization → Girnfac Car Dashboard Cell (dedicated slots for cards, plates, and loose change).
• Best for Navigation Visibility → Generic 360° (allows precise tilting to reduce glare and improve sightlines).
• Best for Easy Cleaning → Both products support washing, but Girnfac is a flat mat while Generic has a complex mechanical base.
• Best for No-Tool Installation → Both require zero tools, but Girnfac is a peel-and-stick mat while Generic is a press-on mount.
For my money, I would buy the Generic 360° for my own vehicle. The ability to rotate the phone to the exact angle needed for navigation is a safety feature that outweighs the convenience of storing loose change. When I am out for car washing or navigating unfamiliar streets, having a mount that locks automatically and spins freely gives me peace of mind that my phone won't slide off or become obscured by glare. The Girnfac is a clever organizational tool, but as a primary interface for driving, the mechanical advantage of the 360° mount is simply too valuable to ignore. In my opinion, the investment in better visibility and ease of use makes the Generic 360° the smarter choice for serious drivers.
