• A quick note to parents...

Dear Parents and Guardians:

We are so excited to host our annual Girls Rock STEAM event this Saturday at Arlington High School from 8:15-1:00pm.  

Check in (8:15-8:25)

Please follow the map and park in the designated parking lot.  If you are entering through the main entrance by the roundabout with the clock proceed to the left.  Students should be escorted in by parents or guardians to the sign in tables right inside the west entrance.  Participants will get a lanyard for a name tag and a folder detailing their schedule for the morning.  After checking in we do ask parents and guardians to leave the building and enjoy your morning.  You may return at noon to join the STEAM Connect Showcase.  For folks traveling from further away there are some great places to visit around the area!

Session 1 (9:00-9:50)

The information for the sessions will be in each individual folder.  Students are assigned based on their rankings from registration!  Some last minute modifications may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances such as a presenter illness. 

Session 2 (10 -10:50)

Session 3 (11:00-11:50)

STEAM Connect Showcase runs from 11:50 - 1:00 PM

Parents and guardians wishing to join their child for the STEAM Connect Showcase please arrive at Noon.  Otherwise, arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 for pick-up. All parents must come into the cafeteria to reconnect with their child.  Please check in with a Girls Rock STEAM volunteer when you enter.  You will also be asked again to confirm pick-up on departure. 

As with before, please park in the designated lot and walk in the west entrance.  Please come to the table to sign your participant out!  Participants will be asked to submit an exit ticket, helping our group plan future sessions.   

Please bring reusable water bottles to the event.  There will be water fill-up stations available the day of the event.  We appreciate your help with making our event a fun, positive, safe environment for all our participants.  We will provide a small snack at the STEAM Connect.  Your child may bring an additional snack or lunch provided it is nut free.  Please email us at girlsrockstem.mtp@gmail.com with any last minute questions or concerns before Saturday.
