Peter Mancuso is a transportation engineer and deputy practice lead for the Traffic Engineering and ITS department at WSP, in Valhalla, NY. He has 20 years of experience in the transportation engineering field in the greater New York City metropolitan region. Peter’s experience ranges from the development of traffic simulation software models to signal design involving overhauls and upgrades of existing intersection traffic signal infrastructure. Peter has held many roles on transportation projects of all sizes, from task leader to project manager, including quality control and assurance for technical analyses, reports, design drawings, and specifications. Peter was born and raised in Brooklyn, but currently resides in Rockland County with his wife and two sons. In his free time, he aspires to be active and travel the world. An avid snowboarder, runner, and gardener, Peter finds joy in being surrounded by nature as well as his family and friends.

Vicki Christini is a structural engineer who currently design structures beside water for Colliers Engineering & Design in Woodcliff Lake, NY. Her career has spanned a range of topics from bridge to transit to waterfront structures projects. She has worked with a variety of clients including NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation, NYS Canals, Army Corps of Engineers, Port Authority of NYNJ, Long Island Rail Road, NYSDOT, NYC Transit, etc. Her responsibilities include: project management; coordination between technical disciplines, multiple subconsultants, and with the client; creation of contract documents; development of cost estimates; and preparation of technical specifications and technical reports. Vicki lives here in Nanuet with her husband and two little boys.

RTC Institute partners with colleges and universities to bring high quality, convenient, graduate courses and programs to educators and career changers. The college and university partners define all application, matriculation, course, and graduation requirements, and grant graduate credit. RTC Institute serves as the local sponsoring partner for these courses and programs by bringing the courses and programs to local sites. RTC Institute cannot grant graduate credit or degrees. Our collaborating Higher Education partners grants credit or a degree per their accreditation by the State of New York. Students who have questions or concerns about their academic status, grades, or official transcripts should contact the college or university.

Marisa Annunziato is the Education & Outreach Coordinator at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. Marisa runs a variety of environmental education programs at Lamont-Doherty's Hudson River Field Station (200 Ferry Rd, Piermont NY) focused on educating the public about the Hudson River Estuary Ecosystem and environmental problems such as climate change. The Hudson River Field Station offers a wide range of community science programs for the public to participate in including fish surveys, microplastic surveys, plankton monitoring, water bird surveys, etc. Additionally, weekly summer outreach events, Science Saturdays, offer the public an opportunity to go seining, a method of fishing, with our field station staff to learn about which fish and crabs hang out along Piermont Pier.
Keertana Sujith
Keertana Sujith is a junior at Pearl River High School with an enthusiastic interest in environmental science, public health, and STEAM education. Through the 4-H Cornell Cooperative Extension Youth for Climate Action Program, Keertana researched climate change and sustainable agriculture solutions, focusing on how environmental practices affect water quality and ecosystems. As part of this work, she co-developed and presented a vertical gardening project that demonstrates sustainable growing methods and the importance of pollinators to students and community audiences.
Keertana also studies medical science through school elective classes such as Project Lead the Way - Medical Interventions, gaining hands-on laboratory experience with techniques such as gel electrophoresis, ELISA & PCR testing, and DNA recombination.
In addition to her scientific work, Keertana serves as a Co-Director of the Pearl River High School Model United Nations Conference, where she helps organize an interstate conference and works with student delegates to debate global challenges. Through Model UN and community engagement, she encourages young people, especially girls, to advocate for issues they care about, confidently use their voices, and see themselves as future leaders in STEAM and policy.
Outside the classroom, Keertana volunteers with the Pearl River Ambulance Youth Corps and coaches youth tennis. She is passionate about connecting science, community engagement, and leadership to inspire more girls to explore opportunities in STEAM fields.
