Are you between the ages of 12-18? Have you been playing in school band, community bands, or private lessons for a few years? Do you want to learn from the best women in brass Calgary has to offer?
Come Join us!!
Bring your instrument, a curious mind, and a creative spirit.
The goal of this event is to inspire girls to develop as brass players and pursue careers as professional musicians

Learn from professional musicians in masterclasses, informational sessions, and open rehearsals. Play alongside professionals in a concert for your friends, family, and peers.

An evening of small ensemble rehearsals where you will play with other participants!

Day 2
Informative Q&A sessions, large brass ensemble rehearsals, open professional ensemble rehearsal. Come learn from the pros and play alongside them!

Professional development masterclasses with guest artists and a talk about women in composition!

Final concert to play alongside professionals in front of an audience of friends and family!

This event is set up for you to play in a large brass ensemble and some brass playing experience is necessary. If you play have played in band for a few years, you are set!
If you are eager to join but are younger or older than age range above, please email us to be put on a waitlist.
If you have questions about the event, please send us an email.
Say "Girls in Brass" when ordering from September 8th - 14th and November 17th - 23rd
Order a meal in person from StrEATS Beltline or 85th St SW locations and 20% of your total goes to our fundraiser!
