Catherine Kleber

Catherine Kleber is the mother of [[Violette]], Eduard and Matilda Volkov. Catherine was a French immigrant who moved to Russia with her daughter to escape her obsessive, abusive husband. Catherine found a job as a stylist at the Pavlovsk salon where she met Darya Volkov. They both became quick friends and even their children became close. Darla's son Yurik and Catherine's daughter Violette grew very close. Catherine did her best to support her friend Darya with her pregnancy but unfortunately Darya didn't survive labor. 

Darya's husband didn't take the news well so Catherine tried her best to help him through his grief by helping him with his kids and even acting as the mother figure for Nikolai. She and Durov grew closer as the years past and ended up getting married as well as raising two children of their own. They lived a happy life together until their child Eduard was diagnosed with psychosis, resulting in Durov growing obsessed with curing it. One day Catherine and Durov were picking up Eduard from the clinic when they were in a terrible car crash which claimed all of their lives.

Nikolai was always very close to Catherine and her passing hit him hard, Nikolai could never accept anyone taking her place.
