I have always been a people person.
I have always loved being and working with people, and so have chosen the service industry for my career. I have, till now, worked my way up from working as a hotel receptionist, to an assistant Professor in one of the most prestigious business schools in Pune, which gave me the opportunity to interact with people on various levels as well as getting work done from them to mentoring and grooming them into professionals. I have learned a lot, by interacting with people and situations since I started learning Commerce and Management and its still an ongoing, a never ending process. Having started my career working in the field, and then moving to the field of formal education made me realize that even after the best quality education available, the students passing out into the professional world, are not really output ready, they have to undergo rigorous trainings just to bring them up to date on what the industry needs and expects in the current scenario. This unsettling fact has now made me adamant to get back on the field and try to understand how to bridge this gap between the current skill set needed and available. I can only accomplish that by working in the field and simultaneously teaching students as a visiting faculty, thus, giving what I observe in the industry and delivering it to the classrooms, hence creating market ready individuals primed for entering the professional world, equipped to deliver what is needed rather than what is available. Till now, in the Education sector, I have made my mark by doing some research work, publishing papers, projects and attending skill enhancement workshops and development programs
