Football
Since childhood, I have been fond of football. Since grade 3 elementary school, I like to participate in competitions in the complex and school. For me, playing ball is a hobby that is fun and healthy for our bodies. By playing football, I can train my agility and leg muscle strength. I also like to play football because it can train teamwork. I learned a lot about tactics and special techniques in playing soccer. There are some special techniques that I learned, such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and heading. Some techniques I can master easily (passing, controlling, and shooting). However, the other techniques took me a few months of diligent study to get a good hold of the (heading, crossing). While healthy and fun, soccer also comes with its share of risks. I once injured my shin due to being hit by the opposing team. It hurts a lot. I was very sad then because I couldn't play football for two months.
English or Local Language (TASK 2)
The English language became the main language used to teach student in many countries and countries that used to speak other languages rather than English. Some one or some place finds than this way of teaching is leading to the end of other languages.
I will mention the important of ensuring the survival of local language. Firstly in Indonesia our main languages is Indonesian languages. But if we build our generation teaching them only in English they will end up by having problems while communicate with the old generation
Secondly, our grandparets is the one that not complete their school, so they can not speak in other languages. Even they only speak in local languages, some of grandparents is hard to speak in Indonesian languages. Even now a days is hard is hard to communicate with other new people by using other languages, so to stay in touch with family and the world around us we have to keep using our local languages.
Learning English is good especially for our coming generation, because of that people are not taking care with their local language any more, but they care to learn English and speak fluently as a way to follow the development, they speak even with their parents using English, if they kept on this way after few years the new generation will not know with Indonesian languages or other local languages.
To conclude, although it is important to learn English in school age but learning regional languages is also important. School should include local languages along with the other program, and those school who will not include them should face serious legal problems.
United Nations Day
United Nations Day is an annual commemorative day, reflecting the official creation of the United Nations on 24 October 1945. In 1947, the United Nations General Assembly declared 24 October, the anniversary of the Charter of the United Nations, to "be devoted to making known to the people of the world the aims and achievements of the United Nations and to gaining their support for" its work.
In 1945, representatives of 50 countries met in San Francisco at the United Nations Conference on International Organization to draw up the United Nations Charter. The United Nations officially came into existence on 24 October 1945, when the Charter had been ratified by a majority of signatories. Watch history in the making with this footage from the UN archives.
United Nations Day, on 24 October, marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.
There is no other global organization with the legitimacy, convening power, and normative impact of the United Nations. No other global organization gives hope to so many people for a better world and can deliver the future we want. Today, the urgency for all countries to come together, to fulfill the promise of the nations united, has rarely been greater.
UN Day, celebrated every year, offers the opportunity to amplify our common agenda and reaffirm the purposes and principles of the UN Charter that have guided us for the past 77 years.
WRITING TASK 2
It is considered by some that juveniles ought to pay attention to all subjects in the school curriculum while others think that they should put more effort into the subjects in which they perform well and are interested. In my opinion, I believe that teens must focus on all the different subjects rather than the ones at which they are good.
Some think that minors should concentrate on all subjects and I agree. As the school curriculum has a wide variety of subjects which include academic as well as extra curriculum activities, It helps in the child’s overall development and they become all-rounders. In other words, paying attention to all the subjects in school, let the children have a variety of options to choose from for their future as they are still at a very young age to decide on a particular subject, as their subject of interest and continue it for a lifetime. Moreover, knowledge of every subject is necessary even in our daily lives, for instance, simple mathematical calculations are required for grocery shopping to check and calculate the amount spent.
Others believe that if teenagers are interested and are performing well in a particular subject, they should focus more on it thus, considering that subject for their future studies. But, many teenagers lose their interest later in the subjects in which they are good as they are still young to make these decisions for the future. Furthermore, taking only one subject can restrict their options for further studies if their interests change and they will be left with no options, but to continue it. This can discourage them and may even lose interest in their studies.
In conclusion, minors should be interested in all subjects in school as later on they have many options to decide from and will not be stuck with only one subject which they may dislike later.
Self Reward
If I could create a new holiday. I think it would be "self-reward". Self-reward is a term used when someone gives a gift to himself. The forms of self-rewards are very diverse and not always in the form of goods and we can also do activities that we really want, such as traveling and playing games, everyone has their own way of doing the self-rewards.
The main reason why you should give self-reward is that you deserve it. This is not always about the success achieved. Even if you fail, you still deserve to reward yourself for the efforts that have been made.
The main point of self-reward is how you respect yourself. What you need to believe is that not everything that is planned always succeeds, but behind everything, there must be someone who has tried hard. And that effort is what you should appreciate.
How I do self rewards by providing free time for myself or what is commonly called me time, in me time I usually do activities that I like such as playing games and also listening to songs.
