Welcome!
I am a research fellow at the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB), where I lead a research agenda focused on the relationship between gender and corruption. I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) and a Master’s degree in Economics from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). I am currently the principal investigator of the project Gender and Corruption: Laboratory Experiments in Colombian Universities, funded by the Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (ICETEX).
I have held postdoctoral positions at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where I studied the dynamics of corruption in Latin America. In 2020, I received the ZUKOnnect Fellowship from the University of Konstanz in Germany.
My research explores multiple dimensions of corruption, including measuring, gender equality, citizen perceptions, political party structures, and civic engagement in anti-corruption efforts. Through my work, I aim to generate knowledge that informs more effective strategies to promote integrity and accountability in governance.
I currently serve on the executive committee of the Academia against Corruption in the Americas (ACA), a regional network that fosters dialogue between academic research and anti-corruption practice across Latin America and the Caribbean. I am also part of the Ethics and Statutes Committee of the Latin American Policy Network (LAPN) at the International Public Policy Association (IPPA).
