Giorgia Menta

Welcome!

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER), in the Department of Living Conditions. I am also an IZA Research Affiliate and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Luxembourg, where I completed my PhD in Economics in September 2021. Before coming to Luxembourg, I obtained my Bachelor and Master's degrees in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, in Milan.

I am an applied microeconomist, with an interest in inequality research and the economics of education, gender, and health. In my research, I sometimes use individual genetic and epigenetic data to explore how genetic endowments interact with environmental exposures and affect the persistence of intergenerational inequalities.

You can find me on Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and X.
