An experimental thesis about using generative artificial intelligence in education
The thesis is dedicated to the analysis and implementation of different prompt engineering techniques, aimed at creating interactive educational chats, designed to assist students in their learning path.
Through these techniques, the model is guided to formulate educational questions to which the student is invited to answer. The answer provided is evaluated by the model based on criteria carefully established by the teacher, thus offering constructive feedback, even without the need for the physical presence of the teacher.
Initially, we focused on the creation of a prompt to support fifth grade students in learning fundamental mathematics concepts. The goal was to identify the most effective structure to implement well-structured exercise sessions.
Based on this prompt, it was sufficient to adapt the study topics and evaluation criteria to develop specific modules, aimed at learning other subjects.
