This traveling art show is featured in various locations across North Texas. Dates and times will be added as I receive them.

23-24 Art&Essay Details.pdf1. All artwork must be completed on paper that is no larger than 8.5x11in.
2. On the back, please make sure the student’s name, grade level, teacher’s name, and school
name are legibly written.
3. Please make sure no words bleed along the edges of the paper; they will possibly be cut off
when scanning the artwork.
4. Apply the theme to the artwork.

This art competition, as always, is optional. I do NOT require student participation. Interested students are sent home with competition packets.
Discuss the things they did at Denton ISD that brought them joy, i.e., volunteering, being active in the community or on campus, helping their family or friends while at school (Grandparents’ Day, helping a friend with a project, etc.)
• Discuss the things they would like to do while at Denton ISD that they think will bring them joy, i.e., being a high school athlete (football, soccer, volleyball etc.), being in the band or on the cheer and/or dance team, etc.
• The kids can also share what they do to bring joy to others while at school, i.e., helping a teacher in the classroom, helping the custodians wipe the tables, volunteering for morning announcements, etc.

2023 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest Guidelines
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
To enter, students must submit the entry form with the provided art card to their teacher.
Entry cards should be printed on white paper and not exceed 8 ½ x 11.
Each entry must be an original creation. Entrants may use any type of crayons, markers, pencils, collage, or watercolors - the sky is the limit.
All entries must be postmarked on or before October 20th, 2023.
Entries become property of the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic and will not be returned.
