Film & Media Makers Development Guild was the first production I joined in Portland, and they have been giving me a wonderful production experience. Through them, I was able to learn how to work in production.
Trust me, I'm a Doctor is a short film directed by Edgar Garcia Chavez. The theme of the film is Halloween, which the story is written and edited by Edgar Garcia Chavez. My role in this film is a producer. My job is to scout for the locations of the shoots and connect with the location owners. I also help as an assistant and slate, if we don't have enough people as well.

Just like Trust Me, I'm a Doctor, Black & White is a short film written/edited/directed by Edgar Garcia Chavez. This film is about Black Lives Matter. My role was to scout and contact the location for filming and gather the extra accessories that we needed. I also run as an assistant and make sure that the shoot runs smoothly.
