I'm currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. I have a Bachelor and Master degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina and PhD degree both from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the University of Orléans, as part of a cooperation agreement and under the supervision of professors Artur Oscar Lopes, Ruy Exel and Jean Renault.
My research interests include C*-algebras, inverse semigroups and groupoids. A long-time research goal is to bring results from C*-Algebras to the Theory of Computation, via Symbolic Dynamics.
