The Michael and Megan McKennett Memorial Scholarship

In memory of a brother and sister who were killed in a car accident in 2002 while returning home to Michigan from a family vacation in Florida, every year, the Gill Elementary PTA awards a $500 scholarship to a high school senior who shares interests held dear by the McKennett family and puts their ideas into action through volunteer work.

Michael was a freshman at Farmington High School who liked sports, and Megan was a 6th grader at Power Middle School who played piano and violin and was involved in gymnastics, both Gill Elementary alumnus.
