Sara Radley

Sara is a proud parent of three children, including a current fourth grader here at Gilham Elementary, a new kindergartener, and a four-year-old. She joined the PTO when her oldest child was in first grade, driven by a desire to stay connected with the school community and support teachers and students in a meaningful way.

With a strong belief in the power of collaboration between families, educators, and staff, Sara is committed to helping create a positive, inclusive, and enriching environment for all students. She values the opportunity to engage with fellow parents and contribute to the continued growth and success of Gilham Elementary.

A bit about Sara: Before becoming a parent, Sara spent eight years as a professional golfer and hosted a golf television show for two years. Her love for the game continues to influence her family life—her children's names are inspired by golf, and her husband, Derek, serves as the head coach of the University of Oregon’s women’s golf team.

Originally from sunny Arizona, Sara does admit she misses the sunshine, but she’s incredibly happy to call Eugene home and feels truly blessed to be part of the Gilham community.

She looks forward to meeting more families and celebrating everything that makes Gilham such a special place.

Carly McByrne

Carly serves the PTO Vice President. She is the proud parent of two Gilham students, a 4th grader and a 1st grader. Her family relocated to Eugene from Salt Lake City, Utah in 2021, just before her oldest started at Gilham. 

Carly’s favorite thing about Gilham is the wonderful teachers and staff. She loves how hard the whole school works to create such a wonderful learning environment for all the kids. 

Carly joined the PTO to help support and give back to all the teachers and staff who are so committed to the students and who have made learning so much fun for her own kids. She also joined the PTO to help foster the sense of community that it embodies. She loves volunteering and meeting new people and students at all Gilham events. 

In her free time, Carly is an avid reader, loves watching her kids play sports, going to Duck Basketball games, and traveling with her family. 

Lauren Wall

Lauren serves the PTO as the Secretary. Lauren and her family relocated to Eugene in 2021 from the Columbia River Gorge. She is the proud parent of a 4th grader and a 2nd grader at Gilham.

Lauren joined the PTO to connect with and serve the Gilham community. Lauren’s favorite thing about Gilham is the wonderful teachers, staff, and community.

Outside of PTO, Lauren enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Olivia Melton

Olivia serves as the PTO Treasurer. Her family relocated to Eugene from Geneseo, IL in 2024. She is the proud parent of three children: a 5th grader at Gilham, a 9th grader at Sheldon, and a college student in Colorado.

Olivia joined the PTO because she strongly believes Gilham thrives when there is active collaboration among educators, staff, and parents. 

Outside of the PTO, Olivia is a Girl Scout troop co-leader, and enjoys reading and hiking.

Molly Meltebeke

Molly serves the PTO as the committee's Site Council Member. She is the proud parent of two Gilham students, a 2nd grader and a kindergartener. She joined the PTO when her oldest child started kindergarten as a way to learn more about Gilham and how she could support the wonderful teachers and staff.

Molly's favorite thing about Gilham is the sense of community and belonging they provide the kids. She loves how the teachers and staff provide a safe, fun, and inviting learning experience for everyone.

Molly joined the PTO as a way to give back to the school outside of volunteering in the classroom. Working with PTO has been a way to serve the teachers, staff and school as a whole.

In her free time Molly loves to read, sew, and bake.
