Jamie Fisher
Jamie has been an active part of the Gilham community since 2021, when her oldest child started kindergarten. She now has a third grader, a first grader, and one future Gilham student who will be joining in a couple of years!
Jamie joined the PTO to support her children’s academic experience, help teachers, and build a strong school community. She loves the inviting, structured, and safe atmosphere at Gilham and is passionate about making it an even better place for students and families. Her favorite PTO event is Night Out at Gilham, which she sees as a true celebration of the school community—filled with great food, fun, and connection.
A fun fact about Jamie: She played soccer for 28 years before becoming a mom and hopes to get back on the field soon! Some of her favorite childhood memories include school carnivals and intense games of bump during recess.
She’s excited to continue serving as PTO President and looks forward to another great year at Gilham!
Sara Radley
Sara is a proud parent of three children, including a current third grader here at Gilham Elementary, a five-year-old who will be joining the school next year, and a three-year-old. She joined the PTO when her oldest child was in first grade, driven by a desire to stay connected with the school community and support teachers and students in a meaningful way.
With a strong belief in the power of collaboration between families, educators, and staff, Sara is committed to helping create a positive, inclusive, and enriching environment for all students. She values the opportunity to engage with fellow parents and contribute to the continued growth and success of Gilham Elementary.
A bit about Sara: Before becoming a parent, Sara spent eight years as a professional golfer and hosted a golf television show for two years. Her love for the game continues to influence her family life—her children's names are inspired by golf, and her husband, Derek, serves as the head coach of the University of Oregon’s women’s golf team.
Originally from sunny Arizona, Sara does admit she misses the sunshine, but she’s incredibly happy to call Eugene home and feels truly blessed to be part of the Gilham community.
She looks forward to meeting more families and celebrating everything that makes Gilham such a special place.
Steph Farah
Steph serves as Co-Treasurer for the Gilham PTO and is the proud parent of a 4th grader at Gilham. She first got involved with the PTO in 2022, when her son was in 2nd grade. After starting Kindergarten online, Steph was excited to finally connect with the Gilham community in person.
For Steph, the best part of Gilham is the incredible sense of community. She loves how the teachers, staff, and families come together to support one another whenever it's needed. That same spirit of connection is what makes Gilham Night Out her favorite PTO event — a fun, relaxed evening where families can get to know each other while supporting the school.
Outside of PTO, Steph works part-time as a bookkeeper at a dental office and volunteers regularly with her church. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family boating, skiing, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks. She’s also an avid runner, and while she enjoys most races, half marathons are her favorite.
Steph loves helping create events that give students a chance to work hard and show off their talents. She’s especially proud of the work PTO has done with Kids Kreation this year and is excited to see that same spirit shine at the upcoming jog-a-thon.

Carly McByrne
Carly serves the PTO as the committee’s Site Council Member. She is the proud parent of two Gilham students, a 3rd grader and a kindergartener. Her family relocated to Eugene from Salt Lake City, Utah in 2021, just before her oldest started at Gilham.
Carly’s favorite thing about Gilham is the wonderful teachers and staff. She loves how hard the whole school works to create such a wonderful learning environment for all the kids.
Carly joined the PTO to help support and give back to all the teachers and staff who are so committed to the students and who have made learning so much fun for her own kids. She also joined the PTO to help foster the sense of community that it embodies. She loves volunteering and meeting new people and students at all Gilham events.
In her free time, Carly is an avid reader, loves watching her kids play sports, going to Duck Basketball games, and traveling with her family.
