Erica is a 40-year-old wife, mother, lifelong learner, and business owner. Now stepping out as a new author, she brings her unique journey to the page with honesty and heart, eager to share her story for the first time. As much as it is a fairy tale, it is full of real-life and lined in lots of raw moments we can all learn from. After Erica’s mothers passing, Erica decided to put some of the best and worst moments on paper to share with the world. Erica much like her mother learned through hard truths and wrong decisions. But passionate about breaking generational curses, she is known for sharing hard truths. Though NOT all details of her books are factual, the life she shares on each page leaves the reader feeling like the character is someone they either know or have known at one time. There are many real moments and memories shared and of course, all names changed where necessary. 

Erica encourages everyone to seek God’s will before their own, chase their dreams, turn their failures into successes and their mistakes into testimonies. Her first book, “Where it all began…” is a spin on the events of her meeting her husband and best friend forever, Travis. Though some parts aren’t as beautiful as others it takes all the parts to paint the picture. She chose to start with their story since it is her favorite as well as what better way to celebrate 10 years of marriage with your best friend than to tell their story to the world. Erica dedicated her first book to her adoring husband Travis Clayton. The man that loved her through some of her toughest battles of self discovery while also being courageous enough to still seek his own.
