Tteokbokki (떡볶이):
Ingredients
Rice cakes (tteok)
Fish cakes
Cabbage
Scallions
Onion
Garlic
Gochujang (red pepper paste)
Soy sauce
Sugar
Sesame oil
Recipe
Boil rice cakes until they become soft and chewy. Drain and set aside.
In a pot, sauté sliced fish cakes, cabbage, and sliced onions until slightly softened.
Add garlic, gochujang, soy sauce, and sugar, and stir to coat the ingredients.
Pour in water and bring to a simmer.
Add the rice cakes and continue simmering until the sauce thickens and the rice cakes are coated.
Drizzle sesame oil and garnish with sliced scallions before serving.
