Funding to make the Symposium available at no cost is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors and supporters.
We invite you to partner with us in celebrating and protecting one of the Southwest’s most extraordinary landscapes—the Gila region. The Gila Natural History Symposium XI, to be held February 25-27, 2027 at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM, will bring together scientists, educators, conservationists, students, and community members to share research, stories, and strategies for sustaining the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Gila.
The symposium provides a vital forum for collaboration and discovery. Topics will range from desert ecology and watershed science to Indigenous stewardship, wildlife conservation, botanical research and preservation, and sustainable land management. By sponsoring this event, your organization will not only gain visibility among a diverse audience of professionals and enthusiasts but also directly support education, community engagement, and environmental stewardship in the region.
Your financial support will help us fund keynote speakers, venue, food and student travel scholarships to ensure the symposium remains accessible to all who care about the Gila’s future. Sponsors will be recognized in symposium materials, press releases, and online promotions. Depending on your sponsorship level, benefits may include logo placement in marketing materials and acknowledgement at opening sessions as well as opportunities to engage with participants.

Thank you for considering this partnership in support of the Gila’s living legacy. Together, we can strengthen the connection between science, community, and the land we share.
