Gigslist is a comprehensive arts, entertainment and media recruitment and production employment research journal. Researched and compiled by people who have worked in multiple positions in arts, media, entertainment and games.
Giglist was founded in 2001 by multi arts producer Deborah Paulino. Deborah has worked hands on in arts, media, and entertainment internationally and in the USA as producer, talent, crew, admin, and creative. From touring circus and cabaret to rock concerts to films, festivals, fine arts, documentaries, classical theatre to MTV and augmented reality games.
Gigslist was on hiatus then rebooted in April 2018, because there was no multi arts recruiting resource for active producers.
The problem with sites that specialize or are not local is they take away funding and time from producers to create more productions hire more actors and crew. For multi-skilled folks, such as actors and musicians who are also video editors and production techs it is the same problem. I'm a multi arts producer and posting on 160 sites to cast and crew multiple productions drains resources and that is the reason is why I rebooted Gigslist.info
