The Gig Book Story

As a working musician, I was constantly managing performances, rehearsals, private lessons, and teaching engagements. The details were scattered across spreadsheets, calendars, emails, texts, and notes, making it increasingly difficult to stay organized. Keeping track of venues, equipment, attire requirements, pay, contacts, and schedules often felt like a job in itself.

After years of trying to make a patchwork collection of tools work together, I decided to leverage my software consulting experience and build the solution I wished I had all along.

Gig Book was created by a musician, for musicians. It brings all of my gig and teaching information together in one easy-to-use place. Instead of hunting through calendars, text messages and emails, I now can quickly find the information I need, manage multiple income streams, track payments, and make sure I never show up at the wrong venue—or with the wrong equipment or attire.

Gig Book continues to evolve as I discover new needs in my own musical career. The app already includes a wide range of features, and I plan to keep expanding it based on real-world use and feedback from fellow musicians.
