Please review the lesson that is in the form of GRASPS. GRASPS stands for goal, role, audience, situation, product, and standards. This is a form of a lesson plan that helps you to ensure that you are meeting the needs for each student and that you have a clear expectation for each category listed above. I found it very helpful. There is also a tool called DAP that allows you to easily score student work, which was very helpful. There is also a reflection that discusses all of the things I loved about these tools, as well as the connection to gifted standards.
