Hi, my name is Alexis Handford, and I love all things mobile and social media!

This Analytical Publishing Project was developed for the course ETEC 565M - Mobile Education to explore an emerging facet of mobility and analyze it's educational potential. My project is about Gif animations and how they are changing communication and the impact they could have in education.

My educational background (prior to MET) is in Communication, and for many years I have been interested in how communication has evolved because of social media, and how tools such as memes and Gifs are changing the way that we interact with one another. How can a simple cat gif have such an impact on someone's mood or how they relate to the people in their lives? Well, I'm here to explore this topic further.
