Squid built the Gibbon Game app as a free application. This Service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as-is.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use the Service, including data required by Meta’s Platform Features and Data Use Checkup (DUC).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Because the app requests Platform Features through Meta’s Data Use Checkup (DUC), the following data is collected and processed through Meta:
Used to identify your Meta account for login, multiplayer, and game progress association.
May include your display name and profile picture as provided by the platform.
Used only for in-game identification and social features.
If your device performs an in-app purchase, Meta provides confirmation data.
Used only to grant purchased items and verify purchase validity.
This data is handled automatically through the platform and is not stored on our servers unless explicitly needed for game functionality.
The game may request access to:
Used only for in-game features requiring voice input. Audio is not stored.
Required for multiplayer, online features, content updates, and server communication.
Stored on the user’s device and not transmitted to Squid unless needed for debugging at user request.
In the event of an error or crash, third-party systems may collect:
Device IP address
Device name
Operating system version
App configuration
Time and date of usage
Diagnostic statistics
This data is used solely to improve stability and performance.
The app uses third-party services that may collect data used to identify users. These include, but are not limited to:
Meta Quest / Meta Platform Services
Facebook services used by Meta (if applicable through platform integration)
Unity analytics / crash reporting services
These third parties have access to the information needed to perform tasks on our behalf, but are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
The Service does not directly use cookies.
However, third-party code and libraries may use cookies for analytics or improving their services.
You may choose to refuse cookies, but some features may not function properly.
