POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER IN MATHEMATICS

Gianmarco Del Sarto

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics at TU Darmstadt, working in the research group of Prof. Matthias Hieber. I am part of the DFG Research Unit FOR 5528 Mathematical Study of Geophysical Flow Models: Analysis and Computation.

My research lies at the intersection of stochastic analysis, partial differential equations, geophysical fluid dynamics, and mathematical climate models. I am particularly interested in stochastic PDEs, energy-balance models, continuous data assimilation, and response theory for stochastic dynamical systems.

I completed my Ph.D. in Sustainable Development and Climate Change at IUSS Pavia and Scuola Normale Superiore under the supervision of Prof. Franco Flandoli.
