I am a quantitative economist and data scientist. Currently, I'm a Post-Doc Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, Management, and Business Law of the University of Bari (DEMDI), where I am also a Researcher in the Laboratory of Applied Economics (LEA). I am also a Senior Researcher at the Eni E. Mattei Foundation in Milan. I got a Ph.D in Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. I was a Visiting Research Fellow in Economics and Econometrics at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management, of Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
I have teaching experience in Economics and Statistics at various universities. I collaborate on several research projects with many institutions.
My main scientific interests include causal inference, spatial econometrics, network analysis, and predictive estimation using machine learning algorithms for public policy evaluation. My research focuses on public economics, regional development, cohesion policies, socioeconomic inequalities, and the labor market. I specialize in using granular data at the micro-territorial and individual level.
I program in R and Python.
What if the interest in studying economics was driven by the hope that poverty and ignorance could be gradually eliminated?
