Giacomo Del Nin

Hi! I am a mathematician, and I am currently a Marie Skłodowska Curie postdoctoral fellow at University of Pisa, with the project DireStratS (Dimension reduction, Stratification and Slicing in Geometric Measure Theory).

I work in the field of Mathematical Analysis. I am mainly interested in Geometric Measure Theory and its applications to problems in Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations, such as those that model defects in materials. I love isoperimetric problems of any kind. You can read about my research interests more in detail in the corresponding section.
