Giacomo Novelli
I am an Applied Economist in Prometeia's Economic Analysis & Forecast Division. My work mainly involves macro forecasting and macro-climate modeling, with an emphasis on climate risk assessment. In particular, on physical, transition, and nature-related risks for advanced and emerging countries.
Moreover, I am Adjunct Professor of Spatial Data in Economics (GIS tools laboratory) at the University of Bologna, and affiliated with climaTRACES lab.
I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Milan and the University of Pavia, where I developed a strong background in Macroeconomics and Econometrics applied to Energy and Climate policies.
Previously, I have been Adjunct Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Milan, and I received the "Giovanni Manera" Best Research Project from the University of Pavia.
My research interests include Climate, Energy, and Environmental Economics, Applied Macroeconomics, Panel data econometrics, Spatial econometrics.
I have co-authored economic outlook reports, organized seminars, produced briefs and delivered presentations.
