Facilitated small-group discussions focused on recurring challenges in accessibility research, such as navigating ethics and compensation, building long-term relationships with community organizations, managing limited institutional support, and sustaining accessibility work over time.
Participants will collectively brainstorm and outline potential next steps, such as:
Opportunities for multi-institutional or cross-sector collaboration
Shared infrastructure or practices to support community-engaged research
Ideas for joint grant proposals, workshops, or follow-up meetings
Mechanisms for ongoing connection (e.g., mailing lists, regular virtual meetups)
This segment will emphasize articulating concrete ideas, identifying organizing interest, and clarifying what coordination or support would be most valuable moving forward, particularly for early-career researchers.
