COUNSELOR AND STAFF TRAINING
PROTECTION POLICY: Green Hills Camp, the elders of the Church of Christ in Green Hills have adopted the following policies to provide additional security for our campers. These policies are primarily for the protection of our campers, however, they also serve to protect counselors and staff from false accusations of abuse.
1. No counselor is to be alone with a camper in a cabin or bathhouse.
2. One-on-one contact between staff and camper is only permitted in situations that require a personal conference. Personal conferences should be conducted in view of another staff member.
3. Counselors must respect the privacy of campers in situations such as changing clothes and taking showers, and intrude only to the extent that health and safety require.
4. Counselors must protect their own privacy in similar situations.
COUNSELOR/STAFF COMPENSATION: GWBC will furnish counselors and staff with a first view cabin, a designer camp t-shirt, a limited edition camp photo, great food in al fresco setting, and an opportunity to make a difference in child's spiritual life.
The cost for staff is $75, this HELPS to cover the cost of food, lodging, and supplies.
