What is Key Club?

Believe it or not, we don't make keys.

Key Club was founded in 1925 in Sacramento, California- close to home! It came from key students approaching the local Kiwanis Club and proposing the idea of a community and school service organization, led by students. Today, Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for students, with branches from elementary school to college!

Now, the Gridley High School has become a part of the Division 14, a part of Region 14 in the Ca-Nev-Ha (California, Nevada, Hawaii) District. It was revived at Gridley in 2017 by teacher Yvonne Smith and is currently continuing to the 2018-2019 school year.

In the region, our advisor is Rhonda Cameron, and the other division is D39.

What does Key Club do?

The short answer: Anything we can!

Key Clubbers reach out for service opportunities in our own schools and communities, as well as beyond. We accept any and every student willing to join, regardless of grades, social standing, race, gender, sexuality, or any other factors.

All you need to be a Key Clubber is a passion to help others and be the best you can be!
